WHY PB TENNIS?

🎾 REACH YOUR PERSONAL BEST

Our aim is to help every player achieve their personal best.

That means developing all areas of the player.
We work on the technical and tactical elements of the game but also the physical, mental and social skills that are equally important and will enable them to thrive on and off court.

🎾 QUALIFIED COACHES

All our coaches are LTA Accredited Coaches, with a lot of experience. So you can be sure you are receiving the best instruction in a safe and fun environment.

🎾 ALL AGES & ABILITIES

Providing just the right level of challenge and fun is key to keeping a child motivated and keen on playing and progressing. That’s why all sessions in our programme are split by age and level of ability.
Your child will always be able to find the right session for them.

When you are ready to make a racket purchase, we can help you and are linked to local racket specialist IT Sports.

🎾 IMPROVE YOUR GAME

We also limit the numbers in our group to ensure a high quality session.

 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many times a week should I play?

This is completely up to you, your budget, time available and how quickly you would like to improve. We would encourage playing twice per week for most players, be that one coaching session and a hit with a friend or family member, or two coaching sessions per week.

We have designed our “Coach Unlimited” package to offer the chance to play more for just £10 per month extra.

Can I attend sessions at different venues?

Absolutely! We have several sessions running through the week across our venues, and you can attend sessions at any venues. This allows flexibility to fit your lifestyle and ensures that if you miss a session you can easily make it up.

Do I have to sign up to a minimum term?

No! We're very confident that you will find the coaching we provide enjoyable, quality and great value for money, so there is no fixed term contract. If there ever becomes a time you wish to leave the programme, you simply have to write to us giving one month’s notice. But we will be sad to see you go.

Is there a joining fee?

No! We're confident that you will enjoy your coaching with us and so we feel there is no need for a joining fee.

However, as our fees are based around a year’s sessions split monthly, we obviously want to avoid people cancelling their direct debit one month, then re-joining the next. As such, if you cancel your coaching plan and then wish to re-join within 12 months of that cancellation, then a £20.00 re-joining fee will be charged.

How do I cancel my direct debit?

You can cancel your direct debit at any point with 30 days’ notice by emailing us.

Is there a pay and play option available?

No. The direct debit system is there to make payment for sessions simple and automatic and makes the administration for our staff much easier. It allows us to ensure groups stay within our coach:player ratios and allows coaches to better plan sessions. It also promotes commitment from our players which encourages progress in their ability.

There are less sessions this month, why is the amount is the same?

We have worked out how many sessions will take place, as a minimum, within 1 year from any point of joining. We have taken that yearly amount and evenly split it between 12 monthly payments. Some months there will be less sessions, but some there will be more. We have also taken into account 3 missed sessions in the pricing as we understand that people may miss some lessons for a number of reasons.

What if I miss a session?

There are several reasons you may miss a session, here is what would happen in each situation:

- Weather, Coach cancelled, advanced notice of holiday.

You can make up a missed session at any other session running (subject to space).

We have already taken into account 3 missed sessions in the fees. In the case of more than 3 missed sessions for you within a year (for any of the above reasons), and it is not possible for you to attend any other session running, then you will receive credit on your account.

- Player is ill, is away, or any other reason you cannot make the session.

You can make the missed session up at any other session running (subject to space). In this case you must email to let the coach know which date you would like to make up the missed session so that we can add you to the register.

- Player is injured or going to be away for longer than one month.

A pause to your DD can be discussed with tennis manager (max once per year and only when agreed with tennis manager). Please remember that we have already taken the cost of 3 group lessons off in consideration that people may miss some sessions.

- No shows.

If you simply don’t turn up for your session without prior notice, then that is a missed session and you will not be entitled to any extra session or refund.

What if it’s bad weather?

Most of our coaching takes place outside. In inclement weather we will always try to get the session on, inlcuding trying to get indoors (at some venues we can sometimes get in one of the sportshalls onsite). If we decide that the weather is too bad or the courts are unsafe, then you will receive an email to confirm any cancellations with as much notice as possible. It is the coach who will decide if the weather is unsuitable for coaching to take place. If a session runs and you choose not to attend, then this is your choice to miss the session and no credit will be given. You will however have the option to make up the missed session at any already running.

I'm not fussed about competitions - do I get a cheaper monthly fee?

Simply, no. We have included the competitions, as we believe this is an important part of a player’s development at all ages. Think of them as an extra coaching session - players will learn to score, learn the rules and also have a lot of fun while putting coaching skills into practice.

Can I pay for the whole year?

Yes! And you only pay for 11 months so you get a month free! Just select this option on the website. This is still a direct debit option and will be taken every 12 months.

I am currently paying monthly, but I would like to change to pay for a whole year – can I?

Of course – simply email us and we can change you over to the one-year plan. You will be notified of the date for the year payment to be taken.

I have two or more children – do I get a discount?

Unfortunately not. Our costs are worked out based on our coach:player ratios in each group. Therefore, each player signed up has to pay for that place on the course. This allows us to keep our costs lower for everyone.

Where are your venues?
